Couples Therapy

Whether married, unmarried, or in an alternate relationship structure, in therapy with committed partners we work together to:

  • Improve communication and resolve ongoing conflicts

  • Rebuild trust and intimacy after difficult periods

  • Develop deeper understanding of each other's experiences

  • Navigate major life transitions as a team

  • Strengthen your connection while honoring individual growth

  • Identify patterns that may be creating distance or distress

  • Strengthen relational skills

I work with partners in the early stages of commitment, planning marriage, and at every age and stage of life.

Our work together could take the form of weekly or biweekly sessions, a weekend intensive, or a mini intensive. We would decide together what format would make the most sense for you.

The Process

Step 1: Consultation

The first step is a phone consultation, which you can book here if you’re ready. No cost or obligation — it’s a chance for us to talk about what’s bringing you to therapy and begin to get a sense if we’d be a good fit. Click HERE to schedule a call.

Step 2: Assessment

This stage has two parts. The first is the intake package, which includes history and background, assessments, and questions for reflection. The second part is a 90-minute therapy session.

Step 3: Recommendations

After that 90-minute session, I will make recommendations for a treatment track.

Treatment Tracks

    • Weekly or biweekly sessions

    • Couples who qualify for this track both want to improve their relationship and are ready to engage in the process together

  • Intensives can last from 4 hours to three days

This can be a good option for couples who have time limitations, or are wanting to make rapid progress

  • Short-term structured approach (1-5 sessions) for couples where one or both partners are considering ending the relationship

Focused on gaining clarity about the direction of the relationship before committing to therapy

Helps couples make a thoughtful decision about whether to work on the relationship, maintain the status quo, or move toward separation

  • Recommended when one or both partners have significant individual issues that are interfering with relationship progress

Creates a foundation for more effective couples work later

  • When specific issues like addiction, severe mental health concerns, or domestic violence require specialized treatment before or alongside couples therapy
